These terms are between you and [Legal name], [Address], [Country] (“we”, “us”), for Forge: the desktop app, the website and the server behind your account. By creating an account, buying a plan or credits, or continuing to use Forge, you agree to them.
The service
Forge is still being built. Features may change, and we don’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We’ll tell you before changes that affect what you pay for.
Your account
Use an email address you control, and keep your computers secure: anyone using a computer signed in to your account can spend its credits. You can sign a computer out from your account page at any time. Forge isn’t for anyone under 16.
Buying plans and credits
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
- Plans are paid monthly or yearly in advance and renew until you cancel. A yearly plan’s credits are added each month, like a monthly plan’s. You can cancel at any time from your account page.
- Prices include any tax Paddle has to charge where you live. Prices can change; a change applies from your next billing period, and we’ll tell you first.
- Refunds follow our refund policy.
Credits
- Credits pay for AI. Each AI job is charged in credits, counted from the tokens the AI provider reports for it.
- A job reserves its maximum before it starts and is charged only what it used, never more than that maximum.
- A new account gets welcome credits once per email address; they lapse 30 days after the account is created.
- A plan’s credits are added when its payment is confirmed and last until the end of the period paid for. Unused plan credits don’t carry over.
- Top-ups don’t expire. They can be bought and spent while you have an active plan.
- If a renewal payment fails, nothing can be spent or bought until it’s paid. Top-ups left when a plan ends can be spent again once you subscribe.
- Credits have no cash value, can’t be transferred to another account and are only refunded as our refund policy says. On a Team plan, the team’s credits are shared by its members, within the limits the team’s owner sets.
Fair use
Don’t:
- use Forge’s access to AI models for anything other than Forge’s jobs, or resell it;
- try to get around credits, limits or security, or access other people’s accounts;
- interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses or overload it;
- use Forge for anything illegal, fraudulent or infringing others’ rights, or against the AI providers’ usage policies.
Your code, and ours
Your code and everything Forge produces from it (findings, plans) are yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the jobs you start: to pass the parts of your code a job needs to the AI provider and send back the answer. We don’t store your code or use it to train models.
Forge itself, the app, the website, the server and their design, text and name, belongs to us. These terms give you the right to use it, not to copy, resell or reverse engineer it.
AI makes mistakes
Findings and plans come from AI models. Forge checks the evidence it can, but answers can still be wrong or incomplete. Review them before you act on them, especially security findings, which are automated signals and not a security audit.
Suspending and ending
You can stop using Forge and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, doesn’t pay, or is used for fraud or abuse. If we close an account for other reasons, we’ll refund unused paid credits.
Liability
Forge is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited.
Law and changes
These terms follow the law of [Country], and its courts settle disputes, without taking away the protection of the consumer law where you live. If the terms change in a way that matters, we’ll tell you by email before the change applies.
