Forge for Mac and Windows

The app runs on your computer: your projects, findings and plans stay there. Sign in once to use your plan's credits.

macOS

macOS 14 or later, Apple Silicon or Intel

Forge isn’t signed by Apple yet, so the first time, macOS needs your OK:
  1. Drag Forge to Applications and open it. macOS says it can’t check it: choose Done.
  2. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to “Forge was blocked”, and choose Open Anyway.
  3. Confirm with your password. From then on Forge opens like any other app.

Windows

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit

Forge is in beta, and beta builds are shared directly. Write to support@getforge.dev to get one.

Forge’s installer isn’t signed yet, so the first time, Windows asks you to confirm:
  1. If your browser says the file isn’t commonly downloaded, choose Keep.
  2. Open it. When “Windows protected your PC” appears, choose More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Forge installs for your account (no administrator needed) and opens. From then on it starts like any other app.

Next: create your account, or read what Forge keeps and what leaves your computer.
