Questions
What is a credit?
Credits are Forge's unit for AI work. Each job is charged from the tokens the AI provider reports for it, and before a big job starts Forge shows its estimate and the most it can cost. Credits are only spent on AI; everything Forge does on your computer is free.
What does a job cost?
A full scan of a project about 250–330 credits, a re-scan of what changed about 75, an engineering plan about 5–60 (a Deep plan up to about 350), a question to the manager 2–9. The page What things cost has the figures for each job and model.
What does the free plan include?
One AI scan of one project, of your choice, paid from 400 free credits. It shows how many critical, high, medium and low issues the project has, the risk of each area, and one example of each severity without its fix. Subscribe and you can open that scan in full, with nothing run again.
Can I pay yearly?
Yes: a yearly plan costs 10 months, so 2 are free. Its credits still arrive each month, the same as on the monthly plan, and lapse at the end of that month.
Can a job cost more than it said?
No. Every job reserves its maximum before it starts, stops when it reaches it, and is charged only what it used.
Do unused credits carry over?
A plan's monthly credits last until the end of that month, on monthly and yearly plans alike. Top-ups don't expire.
Can I get a refund?
Within 14 days of your first payment for a plan, if you've used no more than 100 credits' worth since. Each plan counts at least 25 and each question at least 5, and opening the full results of your free scan counts as delivered. Ask on your account page; the refunds page has the details.
Do I need my own API keys?
No. Your plan's credits pay for every AI job, and Forge's server calls the AI providers for you. There's nothing to set up beyond signing in.
